Malaysia Airlines Engineering Training Center (METC)

Atlast , after few months of waiting , i finally entered METC . It has been long since i updated this blog thingy. So lemme tell you what happened from the start. I was actually waited the whole day for the offer letter. Because the guy that interviewed me said that ill be notified if i was chosen on 20th of december. After hours of waiting , suddenly i got an email.

I was accepted to their course. I was so freaking happy . It feels so good when you are a step closer to the thing you always dreamt of.This just one of the happiest moment in my life. Then i went for medicals and payed the deposit n stuffs. After doing all that , i wait for their call. Then i got an email that i need to report in at METC on 17th january . Damn i was sooo excited. I bought new shoes ,new white shirts n even a new neck tie. feels like going back to school again.haha.Soon after that , the day actually arrives . Went there early in the morning . Sharp at 7 in the morning. At first it was kindda awkward because i am quite short there *damn* and everyone was soo tall n huge. But i get used to it anyway.hee. I found that METC is not like those colleges and universities . We need to wear uniforms , neckties , and even our shoes must be in leather. We can't go anywhere alone. Need to be in a group of 4. We can't use hand phones. We even have military drill here! But what i love the most is that we get access on restricted areas . We get to enter private jets. We even get to go inside a B737-400 that is on maintenance.

Oh yeah i forgot to tell you what course i am taking. I am now a trainee aircraft maintenance engineer (TAME) . I am now undergoing Category A ( Junior Technician) . After I passed that ill be doing Category B whether in B1.1 or B2. I prefer B2 even though the studies are more tougher.Ill be taking avionics. Soon after that , ill be finishing all the assesment. Those assesment will be sent to DCA and ill get my licence after that. Oh n yeah, ill be doing 2 years of On job training before i get the licence. Duration of this course ? it depends on how good i am. If i'm very good , ill be finising in 3 and a half years. If i don't it might get till 5 years. So i work. I train . And i study right now. I love it :)
